Just wondering how long it takes to see a difference… I have now followed the diet for one month and seen zero effect on me except that I have lost weight and that I am hungry every 2 hours.

Hunger feeling occurs when the stomach works in the elimination way.
You loose weight because you eliminate bad proteins (especially milky and cereals proteins). The Seignalet diet food is easy to digest, so your stomach does its digestive job more quickly, and then it has more time to do the elimination job, which makes you feel hungry. This feeling is not due to a lack of food, but to an elimination work. Every elimination of toxins is more or less painfull, but elimination of toxins is the necessary condition to improve your health. You can help your stomach doing this job by drinking water. Drinking water will not stop the elimination phase, but can reduce the hunger feeling. The results on your health will be better if you eat only at the two or three meals a day, no all day long, because the phase of elimination will take place better and more effectively.
This period of intense elimination (with hunger every two hours, and loosing weights) lasts a few months, it may be compared to the weaning of a drug-addict. After this phase, your weight will stop falling and can even go back up to the optimal value.
I crossed this phase of hunger and loosing weight, too. I loosed 10 kg, reached 46 kg as the minimum and after a year, my weigth is stabilised to 51 kg, which is my ideal weight.
I have Lupus and found out about the Paleo diet just recently. Even though am determined to do it I feel lost, like how do you know how to cook food only to a 110 degrees?
cooking in water or in water-steam (at home) insure that you will not reach more than 100°c. Juste because water boils at 100°c, and cannot be hoter. Avoid cooking in oil or in oven, which can reach 250°c
Avoid buy already-cooked food, as cakes, biscuits, marmelade, bread, canned food, ready-made meal and so on, because you cannot know at which temperature they have been cooked.
And do not forget that the more raw food you eat, the best it is !
Sandra Damino, in my experience the most important thing is to avoid fried aliments, gluten and dairy. I wouldn’t be obsessed with temperature, just try not to cook things too much. If you like fish, it’s dificult to overcook it, and it’s healthier than meat.

The difference is that Seignalet is based on an experiment with patients with different diseases. I’m sure that more investigation is needed at this point, ‘cos a single experience is not enough. Moreover, there are some health issues with soy milk, as you already said. Soy contains anti-nutrients, and can facilitate hypothyroidism. I don’t think that dry fruits can be a problem.
Talking about lifestyle change, in my case it was very easy. I had already given up dairy, and just had to give up gluten and corn. As I was aware of a health improvement, it wasn’t difficult to keep on with the diet.

2- Are we allowed to cook or re-heat food in the microwave? (most probably not :)… but just checking)

I have been following the diet since 10 days and already feeling better (pain in the fingers has disappeared). Question about corn: do you think corn is completely forbidden or the very old species of corn we have here could be OK? Thanks!
It supported many selections and mutations during centuries befor Columbus discovered America. So it is absolutly not an original plant, even concerning old traditional species.
But, if you doubt, just try : after at least 6 months of serious diet, without corn, try to eat a big quantity of corn each day during three days (a little quantity would not have evident effects), then return to the diet without corn and wait and observe the effects on you. Some times, the effects are not immediate and occur when the elimination phase begins, that is to say when you stop the uncorrect food.

I’ve been following for 1 week.I don’t know if I see a BIG difference but my pain has decreased a little bit.

I have been eating hemp seed. I,m not sure if it’s permitted on the Seignalet diet.

I am surprised thought that microwave is acceptable (with all the radiation it emits etc), but i guess it will make life easier that way.
I also thought of the following cooking ways; are they OK in the diet?
1- Slow cooker (cooks at low temperature but for a much longer time)
2- toaster (to toast the rice bread etc) (just looked on internet and seems to be heating at 150 deg Celsius and above)
3- Bread makers
4- Breads in general; because breads are baked in the oven; so I guess they are baked at pretty high temperatures too?
